TOTNUTOE / retrospective

Although a photo is a still, flat and non-moving image, Susan’s photographic work refers to a space and a time that extends beyond the visible.

The work is intriguing and raises questions about what preceded and what followed, both with regard to the surrounding space and with regard to time. The silent imagery of one photo seems to be part of a bigger story. The images are aesthetic, but the impact of the photo goes far beyond the aesthetics.

The exhibition shows photo work from the past 20 years. Not only does this close a period, but it also ushers in a new one.

“Enjoying the beauty of decay is an ode to objects, light and spaces that have witnessed so much more than man can comprehend.

It’s time to move on.”
